Give Pipe Planners Back Their Time

Pipe planners often spend hours turning engineering/CAD design and spool drawings into production-ready work. When spools need to be split, welds added, bends changed to elbows, or revisions checked, the planning workload grows quickly.

Much of this work is still handled through manual drawing review, data entry, paper notes, Excel tracking, and repeated coordination with the shop floor. Planners must also prepare cut lists, nesting, CNC/bending programs, work packages, labor estimates, and schedules while balancing workload across stations and available capacity.

From Design Data to Shop-Ready Work Packages

PipeCloud reads key data from PDF spool drawings, PCF files, and other engineering/CAD outputs, then automatically creates much of the planning output needed for production: work packages, cut lists, CNC bending programs, production schedules, and shop-floor tasks. Planners can review, adjust, sequence, and manage exceptions instead of rebuilding the same information manually.

When revisions, rework, or production changes occur, PipeCloud gives planners visibility into the affected work, current status, and next steps. Updated revision information can be communicated to the shop floor immediately, helping teams stop or hold affected work before outdated instructions create rework.
